Experiments In Feedback: Visual Deconstructions
Visual feedback has the ability to abstract a figurative image into light and colour oscillations. This process is highly spatiotemporal as it is caused by the continuous reiteration of the source image through the system, taking place in an actual physical space.
The object was developed in parallel with the installation work. It attempts to capture and spatialise the transitional oscillations of light, as generated by the visual feedback installation. Twelve (12) stills are extracted from a forty (40) second recording. Using flatbed printing, the extracts are printed on transparent acrylic sheets and positioned sequentially.
